To remain competitive, the club's facilities need to cater for the day to day demands of modern football.
Through the generous donation made by the Vidor family, the main meeting room at Waverley Park, affectionately known as the 'War Room,' received a complete overhaul in the 2015 pre-season and remains one of the leading facilities in the game.
Raymond Vidor, a Hawthorn Football Club Life Member, served on the club's Board of Director's on two separate occasions spanning two decades, including the Vice-Presidency in 1996. Raymond's wife Julia and children Jackie, Katie and Andrew wanted to create a fitting memory for Raymond when he passed in 2013. Given that the club was Raymond's "home away from home for close to 20 years," his family felt that the club's War Room would make a fitting tribute in a place that Raymond was passionate about.
With thanks to the Vidor family, the renovation to the coaches main meeting room ensures that our club continues to dynamically strive in our relentless pursuit of innovation and perfection.
